Blending using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 (Easy)  Reply with quote

This is a tutorial for blending using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.

I will be using these 2 Katherine Heigl Pictures. It'll be easier if you blend pictures that have the same background! Pictures can be found at katieheiglfan.com

1) Open the 2 pictures that you want to blend.

2) Go to Image > Canvas Size and a window will pop up. You can double the sizes or even triple the size like mine. If you don't know how, just follow my settings :

WIDTH: 600
HEIGHT: 400
Background: White / #FFFFFF
Placement: Left (Click on the arrow 'LEFT')
Lock Aspect Ratio: 'UNCHECK'

And click 'OK'. It will look like this :

3) Go to the second picture, select all (CTRL + A) and copy it (CTRL + C) or go to Selections > Select All. After that go to EDIT > Copy.

4) Go back to the first picture and paste (CTRL + V) or go to Edit > Paste > Paste as New Layer. *MAKE SURE YOU PASTE AS NEW LAYER!

5) After you paste, move the second picture to kinda overlap the first picture like this :

6) Take the SELECTION tool and match your settings to mine :

7) Drag your mouse to the first pic and kinda make a small rectangle like mine, you don't make it on the second picture or it will dissapear! :

Cool After you do the rectangle, press DELETE on your keyboard 3 times and your picture should look like mine :

9) After that, crop the picture, merge the pictures together (LAYERS > MERGE > MERGE VISIBLE) and decorate it as much as you like! Add gradients, patterns, textures, brushes, anything you want!

Here's my finished product! :

No Brushes:

With Brushes:

Hope this tutorial helps people who don't know how to blend using Jasc Paint Shop Pro!! If you do this tutorial, please post the finished product that you made! I wanna look at it and see if my tutorial worked!

TOODLES!!
